Who is Daktarin Oral Gel suitable for?
This medication may be suitable for adults and children with oral thrush.
It can be used for:
- Oral thrush in the mouth
- Fungal infections of the throat
- Denture-related infections
Do not use this medication if you are allergic to miconazole or any of the ingredients.
This medication may not be suitable if you:>
- Are taking certain medicines such as warfarin
- Have liver problems
- Are under 4 months old
Speak to a pharmacist before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
How to use Daktarin Oral Gel
Always use this medication as advised by your GP or pharmacist, and refer to the patient information leaflet.
- Apply a small amount of gel to the affected area in the mouth
- Use 4 times a day after meals
- Continue treatment for at least 7 days after symptoms have cleared
- Do not swallow immediately — keep the gel in the mouth for as long as possible
- For infants and young children, apply carefully to avoid choking
How to store Daktarin Oral Gel
- Store below 25°C
- Keep in a cool, dry place
- Keep the tube tightly closed
- Keep out of sight and reach of children
- Do not use after the expiry date on the packaging
