Chloralieve Sore Throat Lozenges are used to relieve a sore, painful, or itchy throat.
They contain:
- Amylmetacresol and dichlorobenzyl alcohol – antiseptics to help fight infection
- Lidocaine – a local anaesthetic to numb the throat and reduce pain
Who are Chloralieve Lozenges suitable for?
This product may be suitable for:
- Adults
- Children over 12 years old
Do not take this product if you:
- Are allergic to any of the ingredients
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding

How to take Chloralieve Lozenges
Always use this product as directed on the packaging.
Adults and children over 12 years
- Dissolve 1 lozenge slowly in the mouth every 2–3 hours
- Maximum 8 lozenges in 24 hours
- Do not use for more than 5 days
- Do not take just before eating or drinking
How to store Chloralieve Lozenges
- Store below 30°C
- Keep in a cool, dry place
- Keep out of sight and reach of children
- Do not use after the expiry date
Some people may experience side effects.
Stop taking and seek medical help if you experience:
- Swelling of the face, lips, or throat
- Difficulty breathing or swallowing
- Rash or hives
Taking too much may cause:
- Dizziness
- Restlessness
- Drowsiness
