How to use Zovirax Cold Sore Cream

- Apply at the first signs of a cold sore, such as tingling or itching
- Apply a small amount generously to the affected area
- Use 5 times daily, spaced throughout the day
- Continue treatment for at least 4 days
If needed, treatment can continue for up to 10 days until healing occurs. Always wash your hands before and after applying the cream. Avoid touching the cold sore unnecessarily to prevent spreading infection.
If you forget to use Zovirax
Apply the cream as soon as you remember and continue treatment as normal. Do not apply extra cream to make up for a missed dose.
If you use too much or accidentally swallow the cream
Do not use more than the recommended amount. If accidentally swallowed, it is unlikely to cause harm, but seek medical advice if you are concerned. If the cream gets into your eyes, rinse thoroughly with warm water. If your cold sore has not healed after 10 days or becomes worse, contact your doctor.
