What is Hedrin Once Spray Gel?
Hedrin Once Spray Gel is a pesticide-free treatment for head lice.
It contains dimeticone 4% w/w, a silicone-based ingredient that works by physically coating and smothering lice and their eggs rather than using traditional insecticides.

Who is Hedrin Once Spray Gel suitable for?

Suitable for:
- Adults
- Children aged 6 months and over
Not suitable for:
- Babies under 6 months
- Anyone allergic to dimeticone or any other ingredient
If pregnant or breastfeeding, speak to a pharmacist or doctor before use.
How to use Hedrin Once Spray Gel
Use exactly as directed on the label or as advised by your pharmacist.
Typical use:
Apply to dry hair
- Shake the bottle well
- Hold the spray approximately 10cm from the hair
- Spray onto DRY hair until the scalp and hair are fully saturated
- Avoid the eyes and face and do not breathe in the spray
- Use fingers or a regular comb to work the gel evenly from roots to tips
Leave on
- Leave on the hair for at least 1 hour
- You may leave it on longer if more convenient
Wash out
- Before adding water, apply a non-conditioning shampoo directly to the coated hair
- Massage well (the shampoo may not lather initially)
- Add a small amount of water, massage again, then rinse thoroughly
- Shampoo again if necessary until all gel is removed
- Conditioner is not required
Repeat treatment
- Check hair after 7 days
- If live lice are found, repeat the full treatment
If the product gets into the eyes, rinse thoroughly with water.
How to store Hedrin Once Spray Gel
- Store in a cool, dry place
- Keep the bottle tightly closed.
- Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
- Do not use after the expiry date.
Like all medicines, this product can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.
Common:
- Mild scalp irritation
- Temporary itching or flaking
- Eye irritation if product comes into contact with eyes
