What is Hedrin All In One Shampoo?
Hedrin All In One Shampoo is a pesticide-free treatment used to kill head lice and help remove eggs (nits).
It contains ingredients that work by physical action to kill lice and loosen eggs, making them easier to comb out.
Hedrin All In One Shampoo:
- Kills head lice
- Helps loosen and remove eggs (nits)
- Cleans the hair at the same time
Because it is pesticide-free, lice are less likely to develop resistance.
Head lice spread easily through head-to-head contact, particularly among children during school and play. They can also spread through shared items such as hairbrushes, hats, scarves, pillows, headphones, and hair accessories.
Who is Hedrin All In One Shampoo suitable for?
This product is available without a prescription. If you are unsure, speak to a pharmacist.
Suitable for:
- Adults
- Children aged 1 year and over
Not suitable for:
- Children under 1 year
- Anyone allergic to any of the ingredients contained in Hedrin
Use only under adult supervision.
Do not use on broken, infected, or irritated scalp.
How to use Hedrin All In One Shampoo
Use exactly as directed on the label or as advised by your pharmacist.
Typical use
Start on dry hair
- Ensure hair is completely dry
- Apply Hedrin All In One Shampoo from root to tip, covering all hair and scalp
- Leave on the hair for 10 minutes
Lather and rinse
- Wet the hair to create a lather
- Rinse thoroughly, leaving the hair clean
Comb out lice and eggs
- Work one section of hair at a time
- Use the fine-toothed comb provided
- Place the comb teeth at the root and slide from root to tip
- Ensure hair passes through the base of the comb teeth on each stroke
Check again after 7 days. If live lice are present, repeat a full treatment.
If the product gets into the eyes, rinse thoroughly with water.
How to store Hedrin All In One Shampoo
- Store below 30°C
- Keep the bottle tightly capped
- Store in a cool, dry place
- Keep out of the sight and reach of children
Like all medicines, this product can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.
Common:
- Mild itching or redness of the scalp
- Temporary dryness or flaking
- Slight changes in hair texture such as greasiness or dryness
Stop using and seek medical advice urgently if:
- You experience signs of an allergic reaction such as rash, swelling, or breathing difficulties
- Irritation persists after rinsing
Important safety information:
- For external use on hair and scalp only
- Keep hair away from naked flames or heat sources during treatment
- Hair and fabrics may be more flammable until fully washed out
- Baths or shower surfaces may become slippery — wash away residue with detergent and warm water
