What is Full Marks Solution?

Full Marks Solution is a clinically proven treatment for head lice. It contains the active ingredients:

• Cyclomethicone
• Isopropyl myristate

Full Marks Solution works by physical action rather than traditional pesticides. It coats the lice, causing them to dehydrate and die, and helps loosen eggs from the hair so they can be removed with the fine metal-toothed Full Marks Removal Comb provided. It is a low-odour treatment and is easy to apply to dry hair.

Because it works physically rather than chemically, resistance is very unlikely. It usually works within 5 minutes.

Full Marks Solution is suitable for:

• Children aged 2 years and over

Do not use it if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.

How to use Full Marks Solution

Always use this product exactly as directed on the packaging or in the patient information leaflet.

Step 1 — Prepare the hair

• Comb through dry hair with a normal comb to remove tangles
• Shake the bottle well
• Apply to dry hair, close to the roots
• Use enough solution to completely cover the scalp and all hair
• Massage thoroughly into the scalp and hair
• Leave on for 5 minutes

Step 2 — Comb

• Use the fine-toothed Full Marks Removal Comb provided
• Section the hair carefully
• Comb from root to tip to remove dead lice and eggs
• Follow the combing instructions in the leaflet carefully for best results

Step 3 — Rinse

• Wash out using a normal, non-conditioning shampoo
• Conditioner is not necessary
• You may need to shampoo more than once to fully remove the solution

Repeat schedule

To break the lice life cycle:

• Repeat treatment on Day 7
• Repeat again on Day 14 if necessary

Although the first treatment should kill live lice and eliminate eggs, some eggs may hatch within a week. Repeating treatment helps remove newly hatched lice.

If too much product is used or gets into the eyes

If the product gets into the eyes, rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. Seek medical advice if irritation continues.

How to store Full Marks Solution

• Store below 25°C
• Keep tightly capped
• Keep out of the sight and reach of children
• Keep away from naked flames and heat sources
• Do not use after the expiry date
