Anusol offers an effective treatment for the relief of pain and irritation caused by piles and haemorrhoids. Anusol comes in various formulations to cater for your preference and to effectively soothe and relieve the symptoms of piles.

What is Piles?

Piles, otherwise known as haemorrhoids are lumps that are found on inside and around your anus. Haemorrhoids develop when the veins in your lower anus and rectum become swollen, as a result, you may experience certain symptoms such as:

  • Bleeding after you defecate

  • Lumps in or around your anus

  • Pain or discomfort around the anus

  • Slimy discharge in your underwear or after wiping

  • Itchiness or soreness around your anus

  • A feeling of still needing the toilet after you have already gone.

If you have haemorrhoids, they normally get better on their own within the next few days, however medications are available to treat piles.

What are Anusol Suppositories Used For?

Suppositories are aimed to also offer relief from any itch, irritation and swelling from piles. Anusol suppositories also provide a remedy from other similar conditions for example anal itching.

This also contains several of the same ingredients in the ointment such as zinc oxide, bismuth salts and balsam peru.

How to Use?

Make sure to wash your hands before and after use.
Insert a suppository in the evening, the morning and after each bowel movement.
Before use, make sure to wash the anal area and lightly dry the area with a soft towel.
Discard the plastic cover from the suppository and insert one suppository into the anus deep enough so that it does not slip out.
This should melt after inserted.
