What is Care+ Olive Oil Ear Drops 10ml?
Care+ Olive Oil Ear Drops are a gentle earwax softener made with 100% medicinal-grade extra virgin olive oil. The oil helps soften hardened earwax, so it can clear more naturally and reduce the risk of blockage and discomfort.

Who is it suitable for?
Suitable for:
- Adults
- Older people
- Children aged 1 year and over
Not suitable for:
- Babies under 1 year
- Children aged 1–4 years unless advised by a doctor or nurse
Do not use if:
- You have a perforated eardrum
- You have an ear infection
- You have ear pain, swelling, or discharge
- You are allergic to olive oil
How to use
Typical use
- Wash your hands before and after use.
- Warm the bottle in your hands for 1–2 minutes.
- Tilt your head so the affected ear faces upwards.
- Gently pull the outer ear:
Adults and older children: up and back
Children under 3 years: down and back
- Put 2–3 drops into the ear.
- Do not let the dropper touch the ear.
- Keep your head tilted for a few minutes.
- You can place a small piece of clean cotton wool at the entrance of the ear to catch drips. Do not push it into the ear.
Use twice daily for up to 7 days, or as advised by a healthcare professional.
If you wear hearing aids, remove them before use and wait 15–30 minutes before putting them back in.
Missed dose
Use the drops when you remember, then continue as normal. Do not double the amount.
If you use too much
Using a little extra is unlikely to be harmful, but stop and seek advice if you develop pain, irritation, dizziness, or discharge.
How to store
- Keep the bottle tightly closed
- Store in a cool, dry place
- Keep out of the sight and reach of children
- Do not use after the expiry date on the label
If your label gives an “use within” time after opening, follow that.
Side effects
Most people tolerate olive oil ear drops well. Possible effects include:
- Mild stinging, itching, or warmth in the ear
- Temporary muffled hearing or a feeling of fullness
- A little extra ear discharge as wax softens
- Dizziness if the drops are cold
Stop using and get medical advice if you notice:
- Severe pain, marked redness, or swelling
- Unpleasant smell, pus-like or bloody discharge
- New hearing loss or severe dizziness
- Signs of an allergic reaction
If symptoms do not improve after 7 days, speak to a pharmacist, nurse, or doctor
