Calpol SixPlus Suspension Sugar Free is an oral liquid medicine used to relieve pain and reduce fever in children aged 6 years and over. It contains paracetamol (250mg in every 5ml). Paracetamol works by acting on the brain to reduce pain and helps lower body temperature during a fever.

How to take Calpol SixPlus Suspension Sugar Free
You should always use this medicine exactly as directed on the packaging or by your pharmacist or doctor.
Dose recommendations (up to 4 times daily)
- Children aged 6–8 years: 5ml
- Children aged 8–10 years: 7.5ml (5ml + 2.5ml)
- Children aged 10–12 years: 10ml (5ml + 5ml)
- Children aged 12–16 years: 10–15ml (two to three 5ml doses)
- Adults and children over 16 years: 10–20ml (two to four 5ml doses)
Always leave at least 4 hours between doses.
Typical use
- For oral use only
- Always use the dosing syringe supplied
- Shake the bottle for at least 10 seconds before use
- Do not give more medicine than recommended
Do not give any other medicines containing paracetamol at the same time.
How to use the syringe
- Shake the bottle well and remove the cap
- Insert the syringe into the plug in the bottle neck
- Draw out the exact dose required
If you forget to give the medicine Give the next dose when needed, provided at least 4 hours have passed since the previous dose. Do not give a double dose.
