Order approval and dispatch
Your delivery timescale is calculated from when your prescriber approves the order, not from when you place it. The order process includes completing your questionnaire, submitting any required identification or supporting documents, and clinical review by a qualified prescriber.
Orders approved before 3pm on a working day (Monday to Friday) are dispatched the same day. Orders approved after 3pm, or over the weekend, are dispatched on the next working day. Our operating hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
Packaging and discretion
All orders are sent in plain, unmarked packaging with no external branding or indication of the contents. IQ Doctor takes your privacy seriously. Whether you are ordering a prescription treatment or an over-the-counter product, your delivery will look like any other parcel.
Cold chain delivery for injectable treatments
Temperature-sensitive medications, including weight loss injectables, are packed using pharmacy-grade Woolcool packaging with high-quality ice packs. Internal testing has shown that this packaging maintains the required temperature range for up to 48 hours during transit.
You may notice some dampness on the outer packaging when your parcel arrives. This is normal condensation from the ice pack and does not affect the medication inside.
If you are ordering a cold chain product, please be aware of the following:
- Someone must be available to receive the delivery in person.
- Cold chain items should not be left in safe places, with neighbours, or at parcel shops. Anyone who chooses to do so accepts full responsibility for the storage conditions of the medication.
- Refrigerate your medication immediately upon arrival, unless the product instructions state otherwise.
- Never freeze your medication. Frozen medication must not be used.
Medication stability during courier delays
In the unlikely event of a short courier delay, the following manufacturer guidance applies:
A brief delay in transit does not affect the safety or effectiveness of your treatment within these timeframes.
Deliveries to Northern Ireland, the Scottish Highlands and the Channel Islands
Deliveries to these areas are operated via Royal Mail only. DPD is not available for these locations. Delivery typically takes 2 to 4 working days depending on location.
- Scottish Highlands and Islands
- Northern Ireland (rural postcodes)
- Guernsey
- Jersey
- Isle of Man
- Other remote locations

Missed deliveries and lost parcels
If a cold chain delivery is missed and the package is returned to the depot, the medication may have been exposed to temperatures outside the recommended range. In this situation, IQ Doctor is unable to provide a refund or replacement.
If a parcel is lost or stolen, IQ Doctor will submit a claim with the courier on your behalf. Please note:
- Courier investigations can take 30 days or more to complete.
- A replacement cannot be sent until the claim is fully resolved.
Returns
For patient safety and regulatory compliance, medicines cannot be returned once they have left the pharmacy. This applies to both prescription and non-prescription medicines.
Non-medicinal items can be returned within 14 days provided they are in their original, unopened packaging. To arrange a return, please contact our team at help@iqdoctor.co.uk.
