What is Rennie Orange?
Rennie Orange is an antacid used to relieve heartburn, indigestion, and acid-related stomach discomfort. It works by neutralising excess stomach acid.

- Calcium carbonate 680 mg
- Heavy magnesium carbonate 80 mg
Who is Rennie Orange suitable for?
Rennie Orange is for adults and children aged 12 years and over. It is not recommended for children under 12.
A prescriber or pharmacist can help confirm if it is suitable for you.

- Have been told you have high calcium levels
- Have had kidney stones
- Are taking other medicines, as antacids can affect how some medicines are absorbed

How to take Rennie Orange
Take Rennie Orange exactly as directed on the product leaflet.
Typical dose for adults and children aged 12 years and over
- Take 2 tablets as a single dose and chew or suck them
- Preferably take 1 hour after meals and before bedtime
- If needed, you can take an extra dose between these times
- Do not take more than 10 tablets in 24 hours
If you forget to take a dose
Rennie is taken when needed. If symptoms return, take the next dose when required, staying within the daily maximum.
If you take more than you should
Taking too many tablets may cause problems linked to high calcium or magnesium levels. If you take more than recommended or feel unwell, seek medical advice.
How to store Rennie Orange
- Store below 25°C
- Keep in the original packaging and protect from moisture
- Keep out of reach of children
- Do not use after the expiry date on the pack
Side effects
Rennie is generally well tolerated when used as directed. Stop taking it and seek urgent medical help if you develop signs of an allergic reaction such as rash, swelling, or breathing difficulty.
